Officially: 'This is the largest online mode in the series' history, serving as the end-game content for ACE COMBAT 8.' You start as a mercenary pilot stationed at an air force base, teaming with pilots from around the world to raise your mercenary rank.

Threat Level

- Scramble — a team of four takes on a formidable NPC rival squad.
- Emergency Sortie — an 8-player team battles the series' iconic superweapons.
- Limited-time PVP events — 4v4 team deathmatches and 8-player free-for-all matches, sometimes with unit cost limits or role restrictions.
Rewards & roles
- Earnings are set by overall mission rank; winning squadrons receive more rewards.
- Accolades and career rewards expand your fighter arsenal ('Earn rewards to expand your arsenal of fighter jets').
- Role classes — Fighters hunt enemy aces, Attackers run wild over the battlefield, Multi-Role aircraft balance both.
